I am a soul that has many dips in life, some so bad I often wonder how I came back. At one time life was so dark and bleak I didn't ever think I'd climb out. I was born of the age when you didn't show or respond, and today when I look back I so wish I'd said my piece. I shouldn't look back, because I'm not going that way. But thanks to a daily little white pill and my artwork, I manage to get through. It's always good for me to loose my self in art or my garden. Look for something that truly gives you pleasure, and you will find a release from whatever ails you. My heart goes out to all who are suffering right now, and remember I know just how impossible everything feels, and am only at the end of your finger tips. I spend a lot of time creating images for social media. It’s important to me that my images reflect my work and are uniquely ME, and ~ I hope ~ at the same time appealing in a way that makes people want to click on my work. Don't quite think I've got that bit right yet! 🙄 I admit, sometimes I’m better at this than at others! That probably depends on my mood! When I need it to work and hit the publish button, it seems most times my images fall flat. I know it, and it's disappointing. I can create beautiful images, but if my words miss the mark, my post is going to be in the dark. Wherever possible, I like to recycle. There's nothing more satisfying than giving an old, tired piece a new lease of life. In these pictures you will see the whole process after sanding. This particular piece is a 16 inch square side table. Once the "sandman" has worked his magic, I can begin transferring the image. I have chosen a theme of fantasy. Once the transfer is complete, I then have to decide which pyro tips I want to use. With the intricate bits done, it's time to burn the surface. It's time consuming, but I find it very therapeutic. Then decide... To paint or not to paint!! It's hard to tell from the pictures, but I have chosen mainly metallic colours, and will be adding more coats in places, to solidify the colours. I am thoroughly enjoying this imaginative piece, though it's taking it's own sweet time to come together, with all the other things I have to do. I have my ideas firmly in place for the legs.
