In my book it's never too early, especially when it's all for charity. This is Mr and Mrs Claus's home in the North Pole. Painstakingly made, mainly from recycled cardboard, old clear folders, old twigs, fake grass, and odds 'n' sods rounded up from Acorn that I felt would lend themselves to the project. This house was also in a competition I ran last year... It was won by a lady who said her granddaughter was too young to enjoy it, and wanted it to be run again this year. The house can be seen from tomorrow, at Reg’s Garden - St Brelade. To win it, all you have to do is guess how many hours and minutes it took me to make. The Bullmastiff 🐶💖 It's origins are unclear. In the 19th century the English Mastiff and the now extinct Old English Bulldog were commonly interbred to produce dogs suitable for guard dogs. It became a recognised breed of the Kennel Club in 1924. Please provide lots of bowls of water on the ground for hedgehogs in your garden. If you can also provide some dog or cat food, you will be saving lives. In this dry weather hedgehogs cannot dig to find their own natural food, the ground is too hard

This is a lovely video by Jill King of a mother hedgehog gathering bedding for her maternity nest. You may also see healthy female hedgehogs out in daylight doing this or out foraging. If they are walking with purpose and are not lying down or wobbling around please leave them alone, and give them a dish of water and some dog or cat food, so they can produce enough milk for their hoglets.
