If you have a Rosemary bush or two growing in your garden, you're lucky! Rosemary is one of the most versatile and beneficial herbs to grow. Not only is it a low maintenance, drought resistant perennial, it has so many brilliant and useful uses. Instead of letting your abundance of Rosemary go to waste, you can use it in cooking, natural remedies, beauty, homecare and your garden! Be sure to get the maximum benefit from this fragrant, flavourful and medicinal herb.
It's the perennial that keeps on giving, year after year. One plant can live for decades with the proper care. As mentioned, it thrives in most climates, requires minimal water so is quite drought resistant, and loves full sunshine and well draining soil, It's also resilient to most pests and diseases.
What's most important today is that the abundance of little purple flowers attract bees and butterflies for pollination. While at the same time, acting as a repellent to mosquitoes, aphids, carrot floies and cabbage moths.
You can't go wrong having a few well spaces plants growing in your borders, and in the early evening the scent is heavenly around the firepit.
