It was obviously hand carved. I enjoyed working on this piece. though it was quite challenging. Finished with a food safe oil coating. Some of you may have seen me working on this huge recycled 2" thick slab of chopping block, when visiting Reg’s Garden - St Brelade. I decided on butterflies and hydrangeas. Something completely different for a change! The butterflies are complete, I think 🤔 I am toying with the idea of adding a splash of colour to the flowers by using dilute food colouring. Decorative Utensil set 💖 A new, not recycled, decorative wooden spoon set for your kitchen. Made in sustainable bamboo, perfect for today's environment. Can be used every day as it has a food safe oil coating. If you want it just to look pretty on your worktop or wall, please let me know and I will put a few coats of varnish on it, so it doesn't become a dust magnet, but bear in mind you will not be able to use it for your cooking after this process is done. The designs are hand drawn and pyrographed into the wood so will have a long life. It's usually a good idea to give wooden kitchen utensils a coat of oil every once in a while to stop the wood completely drying out. I would recommend coconut oil.
